Oh God,
  Creator and Possessor of all that exists, hear my cry as I lift my prayer to You

I am undone - there is nothing left of the me that was
    Help me to remember that as my tears fall like rain, so does your mercy

Father, I give to You all that I am
   I don’t know what else to do - I have no more answers

Draw near to me
 as I edge closer and closer to You

I long to serve You with all my heart
   but my heart is torn and broken by the trials I face

I want to love you with all my strength
   but I have none left - nothing to offer

I long to worship you with all my mind
   but my mind is in chaos  and I know not even how to think

Please, oh God, please take my life -  all that I am or ever will be
And make of me what you will, for I know of your faithfulness
   even when I cannot find my own in the midst of this raging storm that is my life

My soul is yours - this is the one sure thing
   onto which I hold so fiercely  as You hold onto me

These troubled times I cannot bear
   and there is none to help me but you alone

Let there be no more “I”  outside of your will
   I long to hear and obey you with every beat of my heart

For my life is a prayer that began with my first breath
   and will not end even with my last
