Oh Lord, please keep my eyes on You
each moment, every day
Keep me from distractions
that may lure me from thy way
Father, never let my gaze
be shifted off from thee
For fairer face to look upon
there simply cannot be
I dare not trust myself alone
to walk where ere I please
For there I often stumble
and fall down upon my knees
Holy Spirit, speak within
my heart and be my guide
To follow closely where You lead
nearby the Shepherd’s side
I’ve been so simply drawn away
from You and all Your ways
Now I seek no other course
to live out all my days
Until I live forever more
with thee in heaven fair
Where I will see thee face to face
